e-cookbooks

We all know that ebooks are revolutionizing the way people read. Open up any newspaper or blog and you’ll be bombarded with stats and sound bites about the growing number of ebook sales. But that never reflected the struggles the cookbook market has gone through to find its place in the ebook space. I’ve spent the last 1-1/2 years focusing on how to make our cookbooks shine on devices. It’s not easy. Cookbooks involve complex designs and layouts, a large number of varying elements, all of which contribute to the story the author is trying to tell through their food. Try putting all that in a reflowable format. Trust me, it ain’t easy.

Glad to see the marketplace is finally starting to take notice of the work publishers are doing.
